Allen Gum named Shiloh Christian head baseball coach

Shiloh Christian has named former UCA Bears head baseball coach Allen Gum as the next head baseball coach of the Saints.

The news was announced Monday afternoon in a press release. That press release is shared below:

The winningest baseball coach in the history of the University of Central Arkansas is coming to Shiloh Christian School!

Shiloh Christian Athletics would like to announce Allen Gum as the new Head Coach of Shiloh Christian Baseball, beginning June 1st 2024.

Coach Gum has compiled 16 successful seasons as a Head Coach at the collegiate level. He began his head coaching career at Batesville High School, where he led his team to the state championship game for two consecutive years. After his second season at Batesville High School, he began coaching at Southern Arkansas University, where he later became Head Coach. During his tenure at SAU, he achieved 226 victories, multiple Gulf South Conference Titles, 4 NCAA Regional Appearances, and was inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame.

After his time as head coach at SAU, he was awarded the Division 1 University of Central Arkansas Head Coach position, where he became the winningest Head Coach in the university’s history with 310 victories, 8 consecutive Southland Conference Tournament appearances, and an SLC Championship. During his career, he has had 24 players selected in the MLB Draft and numerous All-American, All-Conference, and All-Tournament athletes.

We are so excited to have Coach Gum leading our baseball program beginning June 1st, 2024. Coach Gum is supported by his wife Shenna and two sons, Tyler, who currently works at the University of Arkansas, and Calloway, who will be a sophomore at Shiloh in the fall.
