Hooks returns to Osceola as head football coach and athletic director

Robert Hooks has been named head football coach and athletic director at Osceola High School following a four-year stint at West Memphis.

Hooks returns to Osceola after coaching there previously from 2017-2019, where he led the Seminoles to a 36-7 record with back-to-back Class 3A state title game appearances in 2018 and 2019 before taking over for Billy Elmore at West Memphis is 2020.

Hooks replaces Jamie Carter, who resigned as head coach of the Seminoles last week. He leaves West Memphis with a record of 22-24. The Blue Devils saw improvement each year under Hooks, making the playoffs four times during his tenure.
